David J. Pell of Blissfield

David J. Pell, age 79, of Blissfield, Michigan died at ProMedica Toledo Hospital on Tuesday,
June 25, 2024, with his loving wife by his side.

David was born on March 26, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Wence and Wanda (Hasse) Pell. He graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree. After graduating, David was originally employed in his early years at Ford Motor Company and later became a self-employed entrepreneur.

On April 19, 1980, David married Vivian Wood Billington in East Lansing, Michigan and she survives. They owned and operated several businesses together in the Blissfield area including Wood’s Clothing and Freshens Yogurt. David was an avid Michigan State University fan and was a strong supporter of their football and basketball programs. He was also a fan of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Pistons. David also enjoyed classic cars and was an animal lover, having many cats and dogs over the years.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Vivian Pell; nephews, Ken (Sandra) Wright and Timothy Wright; along with numerous cousins, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Eric Pell and sister, Penelope (Pell) Steele.

A visitation for David will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at Noon at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield with Fr. Bob Pienta officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held directly after the committal ceremony back at the funeral home.
