Adrian, MI – Lenawee Alerts was activated a few times this past week with severe weather moving through the area. The emergency alert system is offered for free by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security, and Lenawee County Office of Emergency Management.

The severe weather alerts and high speed community notifications are delivered automatically through email, text, and/or phone calls. Lenawee County Emergency Management Coordinator told WLEN News that the system will send alerts during severe weather if the storm is in your path.

If the storm is tracking towards Addison, people who signed up for the alerts in the Addison area will receive the message, but not notify residents of Blissfield. If you would like to sign up for Lenawee Alerts, go online to lenaweealerts.com.
