Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission unanimously decided to remove the ‘interim’ title off of the law firm Castleberry & Lucas, and appoint them as the City Attorney…with Burke Castleberry as the principal point of contact.
The firm has been serving Adrian as Interim for the past six months, and the City Commission and Administrator have been satisfied with the work done. The resolution passed by the Commission says that Castleberry and Lucas have committed to providing monthly summaries of their activities and participating in an annual, written performance review as a condition of their appointment.
Administrator Greg Elliott talked to WLEN News after the vote, and said that he is happy about the appointment. He cited a recent ‘win’ in court about the Main Street pedestrian tunnel project…
Castleberry emailed the following statement to WLEN News about the appointment: “I am very pleased to have been appointed as the City of Adrian attorney. I am a resident and the City and its residents mean a great deal to me.”
