Keith Edward Gilbert, age 80, died Sunday, June 10, 2024, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian. He was born June 15, 1943, in Adrian, the son of Keith Orlando and Juanita (Davis) Gilbert.
Keith was a lifelong Adrian resident. In addition to owning The Pub in Adrian from 1986 until 2012, he worked over 30 years for Tecumseh Products, retiring before its closure. He is remembered for his easy-going and sociable personality and his love of gambling. He enjoyed playing Keno, and trying his luck in Las Vegas, as well at nearby casinos, including Motor City, Firekeepers, and Hollywood.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Gilbert of Royal Oak, MI and Tina (Kurt) Veitengruber of Rockford, MI; a son, Edward (Paulette) Gilbert of Adrian; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Deidra), Mark, Kendra, Danielle, Paul (Rebecca), Kayela (Josh), and David (Natalie); five great-grandchildren, Annie, Gray, Hailee, Carson, and Nolan; and one great-grandchild on-the-way. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Gilbert; sister, Bonnie Cox; and his wife, Patricia Tonkery.
Cremation will take place and no public services will be held.
