TECUMSEH– From the home he had lived in since 1968, Clark Riley Pearson, age 92, peacefully passed into the presence of the God he loved and served on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Clark was born on December 15, 1931, in Stigler, OK, the second son of Charles and Ruby (Tucker) Pearson’s four boys. On January 18, 1951, Clark married the love of his life, Florine G. House, who preceded him in death in 2011 after sixty years of marriage. Clark graduated from Tecumseh High School with the Class of 1951. After graduation, Clark went on to work at Tecumseh Products from 1951 to 1968. He left there to become a tool and die maker at Ford Motor Company in Saline, retiring after more than 30 years of service.
Clark served God in many capacities. His best-known ministry was being the vocal accompaniment to his wife’s spectacular chalk illustration of the song he was singing. Overtime, Clark noticed his vocal cords were also getting older and his focus changed from singing to photography. He could be found on several of the local ponds taking wildlife photos that many have seen on Facebook.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Jackie (Don) Pearson Pickinpaugh of Adrian, MI, Terry (Donna) Pearson of Hartselle, AL, Mark (Shelley) Pearson of Adrian, MI, and Ellen (Del) Pearson Morgan of Tecumseh, MI; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and brother, Denver Roger (Maureen) Pearson of Ocala, FL. Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Florine; and brothers, Charles Pearson, Jr., and Benjamin Dale Pearson.
Visitation for Clark will be on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will follow at noon with Pastor Lawrence La-Follette officiating.
