Local Job Center Offering Free Career Camp for Teens/Young Adults

Adrian, MI – The Michigan Works! Southeast Lenawee American Job Center is offering a free Career Camp to teens and young adults interested in career exploration and job readiness.

The camp is a one day interactive event that promises to keep attendees engaged through various activities, including new virtual reality headsets. This is the first year the Career Camp is being offered to Lenawee teens and young adults.

Soft skill development, career exploration, and labor market/industry exposure are the three areas of focus for the camp. Michigan Works! Southeast recently acquired Transfer virtual reality headsets that allow users to experience different career activities.

Career Camp is a one day program that runs from 9am to 3pm at the Michigan Works! Southeast Lenawee American Job Center located in the Lenawee County Human Services Building on South Winter Street in Adrian. The Career Camp for students ages 14 to 17 will take place on Thursday, June 13th. For students ages 18 to 24, Career Camp will take place Friday, June 28th.
