Jackson, MI – Stopping to get a car wash led a Jackson woman to becoming a millionaire when she won a $1 million Mega Millions prize from the Michigan Lottery.
77-year-old Louise Adams matched the five white balls in the March 26th drawing to win the big prize. She bought her winning ticket at Kelly’s Express Mart, on Horton Road in Jackson.
She said: “I still can’t believe I won! All I have to say is thank goodness I decided to get a car wash that day, otherwise I wouldn’t be here claiming $1 million.”
Adams visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim her prize. She plans to share her winnings with her family.
