Hudson, MI – American 1 Credit Union recently awarded several scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating high school seniors from multiple southern Michigan counties, including Lenawee.
The awards are part of American 1’s annual Community Involvement Scholarship Program. The application focuses on why the student needs the scholarship and how receiving an education would support them in changing their life – while also positively impacting their community.
There were scholarship winners from many schools, including these from the immediate listening area:
Hudson Area Schools, Chelsea, Ann Arbor Huron, Jackson High, Milan, Columbia Central, and Napoleon.
Chelsea led the way with 4 recipients. Hudson’s Madeline B. earned the lone scholarship from Lenawee County. American 1 Credit Union serves residents through their 17 branch locations across Lenawee, Jackson, Washtenaw, Hillsdale, Wayne, and Calhoun counties.
