Addison Ambulance Involved in Crash with Truck on US 223

Onsted, MI – An ambulance with the Village of Addison was involved in a crash over the weekend on US 223 and Onsted Highway while transporting a patient. The crash between the ambulance and a pick-up truck occurred at around 10pm Saturday. They were enroute to ProMedica Hickman Hospital. The truck was traveling southbound on Onsted Highway when the two collided.

Following the impact, the ambulance lost control and ended up in a ditch, striking a tree. Both crew members of the Addison EMS were transported by the Madison Township EMS to Henry Ford Jackson with non-life-threatening injuries. They were released from the hospital Sunday morning.

The patient in the ambulance was transported by another Addison EMS to ProMedica Hickman Hospital. Their condition was unknown at the time of the release issued by the Addison EMS. The driver of the truck was transported to Henry Ford Jackson by the Lenawee County Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
