Blissfield, MI – The Village of Blissfield Department of Public Works will be conducting a village-wide water hydrant flushing later this month. The Village reports that the flushing will be from 11pm until 6am from Sunday, April 7th until Friday, April 19th.

The purpose is to remove sediment that accumulates in the water lines. Residents in Blissfield may notice the water has a rusty appearance, however, the Village says that the water is safe to drink…but be sure to check it before doing laundry.

If water appears rusty, run cold water to clear out the lines. If you have any questions, contact the Blissfield Village Office.
