Adrian, MI – A 23-year-old female from Dundee has been charged with Felony- Reckless Driving Causing Death after, police say, caused the crash that took the life of a 55-year-old from the Onsted area back in January.
The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office says that, on Tuesday, Madison Steinwedel was charged in the death of Eileen Christoffers. The two vehicle crash occurred at around 7:20am on January 29th on M-50 in Ridgeway Township.
According to Sheriff’s Deputies, Christoffers was driving a 2015 Chevy Malibu eastbound on M-50 when she was hit head-on by a 2011 Ford F350 truck driven by Steinwedel. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Steinwedel was arraigned Thursday, and a probable cause conference is scheduled for April 3rd in the courtroom of Lenawee County District Court Judge Todd Morgan.
