Adrian, MI – The United Way of Monroe/Lenawee Counties, ProMedica Hickman Hospital and the Family Medical Center, annually provide opportunities for low-cost health testing and health information in the spring and fall…and the 2024 Spring event is just around the corner.

It will be held on April 25th from 8AM to 12 noon at the St. Mary’s Activities Center in Adrian. The cost for a 22-panel blood test is $20 and includes the following tests: a complete blood count, glucose, kidney function, sodium, potassium, chloride, carbon dioxide, thyroid function, and total cholesterol check.

Vitamin D and HA1C tests are available at a minimum cost. All tests range in price from $10 to $20. A 12-hour fast is recommended before blood tests. No appointment is necessary. Blood test results are mailed directly to the individual’s home address, and it is their responsibility to take the results to their medical professional.

Free medical disposal will be offered onsite. This is a safe way to dispose of any expired or unused prescription or over-the-counter medication. Vaccines will also be available from Schmidt Pharmacy. For more information you can contact the United Way of Monroe/Lenawee Counties by phone, email, or online at unitedwaymlc.org.
