Blissfield, MI – The Village of Blissfield has announced the launch of its Advanced Metering Infrastructure project, which will replace water meters throughout the community.

The Village says that starting in 2024, they will begin replacing water meters throughout the community with advanced metering infrastructure. To implement this project, the Village partnered with USG Water Solutions.

Over 4 months, 1,585 water meters will be installed village-wide. The new meter system will provide real-time water usage data, and consumption threshold alerts, comparative data, and leak alerts.

Installation of the new meters will begin in summer of 2024, with residents and businesses receiving advance notice through door hangers and other communications. To help streamline the process residents are encouraged to update their contact information with the Village office.
