Michigan EGLE Announces Grant Funding for Area Water Projects

Lansing, MI – The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy have announced that two local communities will be receiving part of nearly $100 Million in Clean Water Grants.

The Cities of Saline and Milan will be awarded millions of dollars through earmarks from the Federal American Rescue Plan Act.

Saline’s $5 million project supports rehabilitation of the City’s WasteWater Treatment Plant by managing wet weather flows and critical technology upgrades.

Milan’s $3.6 million project involves wastewater treatment upgrades at the WasteWater Treatment Plant. This will include headworks improvements, ultraviolet disinfection improvements, and replacing the boiler heating system.
