Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg recently voted in favor of House Resolution 7176, the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act, which passed the House by a vote of 224-200.
In January, the Biden administration announced an indefinite ban on the issuance of export permits for liquefied natural gas to non-Free Trade Agreement countries.
H.R. 7176 would reverse this ban by lifting all DOE restrictions on the import and export of natural gas. Congressman Walberg serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Education and the Workforce Committee.
