Lenawee County, MI – A 43-year-old female from Adrian died from injuries sustained in a single vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon. Lenawee County Sheriff Troy Bevier reports that at around 5:17 PM, Deputies responded the area of Lyons Highway just south of Horton Road.
Deputies report that she was traveling northbound on Lyons Highway in her 2012 Kia Hatchback when she crossed the center line, veered off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver sustained serious injuries, however, was alert and talking to Deputies at the scene before she was transported to a Toledo Hospital by ambulance.
Hours later the Sheriff’s Office was notified that the driver had passed away. Drugs and Alcohol do not appear to be a factor and the driver was alone in the vehicle at the time of the crash. This crash remains under investigation by the Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team.
Assisting in this incident was the Madison Township Police Department, Madison Township Fire & Ambulance, Fairfield Township Fire Department and the Lucas County Ohio Coroners Office.
