Onsted, MI – The Village of Onsted is under a boil water advisory. Due to a drop of pressure in the Onsted Village water supply, bacterial contamination may have occurred in the water system.

Corrective measures are currently being undertaken to correct the situation. The pressure drop occurred due to an electrical issue. Customers are advised to boil your drinking water before using. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food until further notice.

Onsted Village President Sam Lafata stated that they anticipate resolving the problem by Friday, Jan. 26th. Customers will be advised when the boil water advisory has been lifted.
