Lenawee County, MI – Nancy Jenkins-Arno, Lenawee County Commissioner and former State Representative, has filed to run for State Representative of the 34th District, which includes most of Lenawee County. The seat is currently held by Dale Zorn, who will be term limited at the end of this year.
Jenkins-Arno previously served as State Representative of the 57th District from 2011-2016. Term limits at the time prohibited her from running again. With the passage of Proposal 1 in 2022, term limits were extended to 12 years.
“I’m excited for this opportunity to represent the people of Lenawee County once again,” Jenkins-Arno said. “I’m frustrated by what I see happening in Lansing, and will work to get Michigan back on the right track.”
Since leaving the Legislature, Jenkins-Arno has worked for the Hudson School District as the Director of Development and Alumni Affairs. She was elected to the Lenawee County Commission in 2018, representing the 3rd District, (Hudson, Morenci, Hudson Township, Medina Township, Rollin Township). She is currently serving her third term.
