Legal Council Completes Fact-Finding on Potential Document Signing Issues with Adrian Mayor

Adrian, MI – The issue of Adrian Mayor Angie Heath signing documents pertaining to certification of consolidated plans has resolved itself. The City Commission called a special meeting in October to discuss Mayor Heath’s certifications in support of recent Housing and Urban Development grant applications by Lenawee Continuum of Care and related activities.

City Administrator Greg Elliott and then-City Attorney John Gillooly were asked to meet with the Mayor to discuss other documents that may have been signed in error. That meeting took place, and Gillooly reported back to the Commission at a recent pre-meeting study session…

 

Gillooly continued, saying that he heard back from Siena Heights University and the Croswell Opera House about letters of support that were signed by Mayor Heath. The then-City Attorney recommended that the Commission “turn the page”…
