Tecumseh, MI – The Tecumseh Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with an investigation into a suspicious incident near East Shawnee and North Maumee earlier this month. It is reported that subjects in a black Ford Explorer allegedly assaulted two children in that area with some type of non-lethal projectile on December 9th at approximately 5:30pm.
TPD reports that one child suffered a minor injury. This appears to have been an isolated incident, and police do not suspect an ongoing threat to the public. Video surveillance footage from the area shows a subject walking a large white dog near that intersection during the incident. This subject is not a suspect, but they may have valuable information to share.
