Citizens Gas Fuel Company in Adrian Announces Rate Changes

Adrian, MI – Citizens Gas Fuel Company in Adrian requested a review of regulated rates on November 28th with the Adrian Gas Commission.

The regulated rates include the monthly Customer (basic) Fee and the Distribution Fee. The commission met at City Hall, and Citizens was granted an increase in the Customer Fee and Distribution Fee.

The last time these rates were changed was in January, 2010. Citizens Gas is also announcing a decrease in the Annual Gas Supply Charge of $0.38, resulting in a 28% overall decrease.

With the combined rate changes, Citizens says that the average Residential Customer will save approximately $300 annually in normal weather conditions. Of course, monthly gas bills will vary month to month depending on usage.
