Adrian, MI – De’Angelo Boone was recognized by the Lenawee County Continuum of Care by presenting him with the 2023 Norma Dell ‘Courage to Care’ Award.
The CoC hosted an event at Goodwill Industries in Adrian as part of Homeless Awareness Month. The award recognizes the efforts of an individual, couple or agency who has made extraordinary contributions toward alleviating homelessness in Lenawee County.
Boone has been a leader in City of Refuge Ministries International since 2006, starting the Adrian area ministry in 2014. He developed the Meal Assistance Program of Lenawee utilizing a mobile application to quickly get food to people in the Adrian area.
He talked to WLEN News after receiving the award…saying that it feels good to be in a position to give back, after people in his life helped him in the past…
