Adrian, MI – The second story of a 3 unit apartment building in Adrian caught fire over the weekend on Broad Street.

City of Adrian Fire Chief Aric Massingill told WLEN News that they were dispatched to a structure fire at 2:04pm Saturday afternoon.

They arrived to find smoke and some flames coming from the second story of a 3 unit apartment building. All residents were out of the building and smoke alarms were sounding.

AFD crews found the fire contained to the wall and window casing surrounding a second story window. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could reach the attic. There was minor fire and smoke damage to one apartment.

AFD were assisted on the scene by the Madison Township Fire Department and Adrian Police Department. A cause has not been determined.
