Springbrook Middle School Holds 7th Grade Career Fair

Adrian, MI – Springbrook Middle School recently held a career fair for its seventh-grade students. The event, coordinated by the school’s Guidance Counselor, Julia Ely, featured a diverse lineup of professionals who donated their time and expertise to inspire the next generation.

According to Ely, “the purpose of this career fair was to expose students to a wide range of career opportunities, including those listed on the ‘Hot Jobs’ list, and careers that they may not have considered before. At Adrian Public Schools, we want to motivate students to set clear objectives for their future after graduation, instilling a sense of purpose and direction in their education.”

The event brought together a collection of professionals representing careers with varying training requirements, ranging from a high school diploma to advanced doctorate degrees and even military training. It also gave students an in-depth understanding of the diverse paths they could take in the future. Among the businesses and individuals who generously shared their knowledge and experiences were:

– Michigan State Police – Bomb Squad Sgt. Tim Dixon

– Redwood Tree Service – Craig Phillips

– 3DPT – Athletic Trainer Alyssa McKenzie

– Stimpson & Assoc. – Attorney Dave Lacasse

– Registered Nurse – Myranda Collins

– Primetime Chiropractic – Dr. Marcus Perez

– Robotics/Engineering – LISD Tech Center – Josh Wonders

– Machinist – LISD Tech Center – Cody Oard

– Supreme K9 Skool – Donte Howard

– Adrian Electric & Generator – Chad Fox

– Legacy Barber School – Gerod Sturgis

– Adrian School of Massage – Kendra Crombez, Christy Bossard, & Kris Martinez

Principal Adam Benschoter emphasized the importance of such initiatives in the school, saying, “Our goal at Springbrook Middle School is to provide our students with every opportunity to explore and discover their passions and potential. This career fair is just one example of our commitment to empowering our students and helping them find their path towards a fulfilling and successful future.”
