A Look at Local Contested Elections November 7th

Adrian, MI – In-person voting for the November Election in Lenawee County will be Tuesday, November 7th. There are two proposals on the ballot…one for Tecumseh Public Schools, and one for Sand Creek Community Schools. TPS is looking for a Millage Renewal, and SCCS is asking voters for a multi-million dollar bond proposal.

There are two communities voting for Mayor, Adrian and Morenci. Incumbent Angie Sword Heath in Adrian is going up against current Commissioner Allen Heldt. Morenci will have a new Mayor…either Jeffrey Lampson or Tracy Schell.

There are three open seats on the ballot for Adrian City Commission, with six candidates running… Robert Behnke, Thomas Faulhaber, Joaquin Ramos, Mary Roberts, Matthew Schwartz, and Brad Watson.

Morenci Voters also have a partial term on council to select…with Kori Christle and Gary Pfund. Tecumseh City Council has three seats open for two year terms. Gary Naugle, Vicki Riddle, Austin See, and Bill Swift are running.

Those are all of the contested elections in Lenawee County. There are a handful of elections in the county with uncontested options.
