Adrian, MI – Neighbors of Hope held an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new Men’s Ministry building in Adrian Friday afternoon.
Community leaders and partnering businesses with NOH were at the new location at 227 Riverside Avenue to celebrate the rebirth of the services offered to the homeless and addicted in the Adrian community.
Executive Director of Neighbors of Hope, Pastor Steven Palmer, told WLEN News that the Men’s Ministry is the flagship ministry of NOH…established in 2006. He said that they have been looking for more space to offer better services…and that the Men’s Ministry has been vacant for about two years.
In 2020, NOH closed on the Riverside property. They received a grant to start renovations in November of 2020. Complications with the COVID-19 Pandemic stretched the renovation timeline to about two and a half years.
There are 16 beds in the building, in addition to various amenities offered. Pastor Palmer said that there is a need for their types of services in the Adrian area…
WLEN News asked Pastor Palmer about plans to bring back the Women and Children’s Ministry, which closed its doors in Tecumseh this spring. He said that it is a major goal to get the ministry back in operation…
