Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tim Walberg (MI- 5th Congressional District) released a statement after voting for Mike Johnson to become the 56th Speaker of the House.

Walberg said, in part: “…For nine months, House Republicans maneuvered with a historically small majority to pass the strongest border security ever, the Parents Bill of Rights, a comprehensive energy reform package, 70% of discretionary funding through single-subject appropriations bills, and much more. This critical work will continue under Speaker Johnson’s leadership, and we will resume our role as the voice of the American people and continue to deliver results.”
