Tecumseh, MI – The Tecumseh City Council has a Study Session planned for next week, and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars are on the agenda.
In the ‘agenda review form’ submitted by City Manager Dan Swallow, it says that he has requested that Council ‘obligate’ their dollars toward several capital improvement projects.
The City of Tecumseh has been allocated $879,007 from ARPA. Swallow says that the City has obligated $552,125 of that amount… leaving an available balance of $326,882. The City obligate their funding by the end of this calendar year in order for them to receive an additional 1% of State Shared Revenue.
Tecumseh has actually spent $232,690 on projects such as wall repair at the Tecumseh Historical Museum, roof work at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts, and Police Patrol Vehicles. Approved projects include: DPW buildings painting, epoxy floor coatings at DPQ and Emergency Services, and roof replacement at Brookside Cemetery and Emergency Services.
Council will gather Monday night at 6:30pm for their Study Session…which is open to the public.
