Tecumseh, MI – The Lenawee County Ways and Means Committee approved spending over $66,000 in additional funds to remove debris from the former Tecumseh Products Site… after spending around $200,000 on clean-up earlier this year.
County Administrator Kim Murphy outlined why the County must pay this additional amount…

The property was recently appraised at roughly $440,000. The county purchased the land in 2021 for over $2 million dollars, and had plans to build a multi-use community complex called ‘Project Phoenix’. The project has been ‘put on the shelf.’
