Adrian, MI – Two juveniles were arrested after attempting an armed robbery of West Pointe Party Store in Adrian Tuesday afternoon.

The Adrian Police Department reports that shortly before 4pm, they were dispatched to the store on West Maumee street. It was reported two masked males entered the store and one produced a knife.

The clerk called another employee for help, and the suspects fled the store. Both suspects then ran north through the neighborhood. An arriving officer observed two males fitting the description of the suspects on Cherry Drive in Adrian Township.

Officers engaged in a foot pursuit with the suspects. One male was detained and additional units set up a perimeter in the area. A K9 unit from the Lenawee County Sheriff Department arrived and after a short track, the second suspect was taken into custody.

Both suspects are juveniles. Due to the ages of the suspects, their names will not be released by police. No one was injured during this incident, and no property was stolen.

Adrian Police were assisted by the Lenawee County Sheriff Department, Madison Township Police Department, Michigan State Police and the Lenawee County Drone Team.
