Adrian, MI – A driver fell asleep and crashed into the ‘welcome to Adrian’ sign on the north side of town on Monday morning.
The Adrian Police Department says that the crash occurred at around 7:22am. The crash report says that the vehicle was traveling southbound on North Main Street, hit the curb at the Curtis Road intersection, then hit the sign on the front right side of the vehicle.
The APD says that the female driver stated that she believes she fell asleep while driving. A witness statement said that no brake lights were observed.
