Monroe, MI – The body of a 45-year-old kayaker was found on a Monroe County beach three days after being reported missing.
Sheriff Troy Goodnough says that Central Dispatch received a report of a deceased subject in the area of Edgewater Street and Ninth Street in Frenchtown Township’s Detroit Beach.
The body was of 45-year-old Roger Lee Fischer, from Flat Rock. He had been missing since September 3rd…and was found Wednesday morning.
Fischer was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Monroe County Central Dispatch.
