36-Year-Old Waldron Man Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Hillsdale Man

Hillsdale, MI – A Hillsdale County man is in custody after allegedly stabbing a 58-year-old Hillsdale man multiple times Sunday night.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Jackson Post investigated the stabbing that occurred in the 9000 block of Crampton Road in Ransom Township…near the Lenawee County line.

Troopers and medical personnel arrived at the residence where the incident occurred and located the 58-year-old who sustained multiple, non-life threatening, stab wounds. The victim was transported to the Hillsdale Hospital for treatment. The victim stated the suspect, a 36-year-old from Waldron, entered the residence without permission and assaulted the victim.

Troopers were advised that after the suspect stabbed the victim, the suspect returned to a family member’s residence, told them about the stabbing, and requested a shotgun. Troopers say that the family members refused.

The suspect was later found and arrested by Hillsdale County Deputies, and is being held at the Hillsdale County Jail.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Woodbridge Fire Department, Waldron and Hudson EMS, Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department, and Hillsdale City Police.
