36th Annual Civil War Muster Returns to Jackson this Weekend

Jackson, MI – The Jackson Civil War Muster returns for its 36th year this weekend. This living history event is held at Cascades Park, in Jackson this Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday night, the ‘All American Military Ball’, will be held at the Cascade Falls. At this unique 1860s period dance, people from across Michigan come together to join hands for a nineteenth century grand gala.

The evening activity will not only feature period dance, but it will also have a performance from the renowned Camp Chase Fifes & Drums Core. The ball will be held Saturday, August 26th at 7pm with music by the Washingtonian String Band.

The Jackson Muster is the largest, longest running Civil War event in the Midwest, welcoming people of all ages. Each year, this free event draws 25,000 to 30,000 fans from throughout Michigan, Canada and destinations as far as Sweden.
