
Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners recognized Cody Waters, the CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Lenawee, for his receipt of the Michigan Club CEO of the Year.
Waters is the fourth CEO of the Lenawee Boys and Girls Club, taking the helm in 2019. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Michigan specializing in Nonprofit Management. Cody has spent the majority of his career working in the nonprofit sector. Prior to coming back to Adrian, he was the Director of Development at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo. Cody currently resides in Adrian with his young family.
Boys and Girls Club of America Michigan Area Council gathering this past April in Lansing, and named Waters the Michigan Boys & Girl CEO of the Year. In their statement, the Council stated that Cody has been a tireless advocate for not only the Lenawee organization but also the Boys & Girls Clubs across the state. His involvement with the Michigan Afterschool Partnership and his relentless pursuit of opportunities for youth make him an incredible recipient of this award.
The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners recognized him on his success and achievements and congratulated him on his election of The Boys and Girls Club of America’s CEO of the Year at their regular meeting Wednesday in Adrian.
