Saline, MI – The Saline Police Department released the name of the Saline Shooting suspect from late last week… Barry Garza.
The Lenawee County man was arraigned on charges including Open Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder, and Felony Firearms for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend Amber Jo Thomas, of Adrian. Garza was denied bond.
Amber and an acquaintance from Saline were walking outside of their place of employment for a break Thursday morning. That’s when Garza reportedly opened fire, striking both of them. Thomas would later die from her injuries in a hospital.
A memorial service for Amber Jo Thomas will be Wednesday at 11am at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home in Adrian.
