Adrian, MI – Twenty-one Michigan hospitals have earned 5-star ratings from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, including ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital.
The federal ratings evaluated 4,654 hospitals across the country, handing out less than 500 of the highest 5-star ratings.
The ratings show how well each hospital performed in mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience and timely and effective care. See the full list on Medicare.gov.
Other area hospitals recognized include: Chelsea Hospital, Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital, U of M Health System, and Veteran Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System.
