Hudson, MI – The City of Hudson Fire Department recently received a donation of canned emergency drinking water from Anheuser-Busch to help keep its responders hydrated as they battle wildfires this season.

A pallet of 96 cases of water was dropped off by local Anheuser-Busch wholesaler partner, D L J & Co. on Monday.

Hudson Fire Department serves a year-round population of around 6,100, which increases quite a bit each summer with the influx of Posey Lake homeowners.

They respond to an average of around 220 fire incidents per year with around 12% of those being brush, field, and wildland fires.

Normally drinking water is purchased with money from their Equipment budget used for gear and tools.

The water was donated by Anheuser-Busch through a partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council. In total, the brewer has donated more than 90 million cans of emergency drinking water to communities impacted by natural disasters and other crises since 1988.
