Tipton, MI – A barn fire in northern Lenawee County is under investigation. Fire Departments from Sand Lake, Clinton Village, Tecumseh City, Raisin Twp., Ridgeway Twp., Addison Village, Manchester, and Adrian Twp. responded to Hardy Farms, located at the intersection of Wisner Highway and West Munger Road at around 11:44pm Thursday night.
Howard Kapp, with the Sand Lake Fire Department, told WLEN News Friday morning that they saw flames through the roof of the barn when they arrived on scene. It took five to six hours to contain the blaze. The fire burned a cow barn and an office building. Livestock were lost.
Kapp said that he did not have an exact number of cows killed in the fire, and that the cause is under investigation at this time.
