
Cambridge, MI – The 2023 Faster Horses Festival is in the books, and WLEN News talked with local police agencies about their work done at the country music festival. The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office worked closely with many departments during the weekend, including the Cambridge Township Police and agencies in Monroe and Jackson Counties.
Lenawee County Sheriff Troy Bevier proved the overall numbers of calls and investigations his department handled during Faster Horses. Here is the breakdown:
- 61 total Calls for Service. Nine were reported assaults, which after investigation broke down to be; 1 Assault, 1 Fraud, 1 Sexual Assault and one Cocaine possession, the rest were disorderly persons.
- Eight reported Disorderly Persons, and all of those after investigated were Suspicious Persons.
- The LCSD had 9 Suspicious Person Reports that ended up mostly being medical and citizen assists.
Overall, the Sheriff’s Office had 5 verified Crimes, 1 Assault and Battery, 1 fraud, 1 Possession of Cocaine, 1 Sexual Assault and 1 Drunk Driver.
The Sheriff’s Office had two arrests, for Cocaine Possession and Drunk Driving.
