
Lansing, MI – Michigan Lottery players have a shot at more than $1.4 billion this weekend with huge Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots up for grabs.
The Mega Millions jackpot currently stands at $560 million for tonight’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $281 million. If a player wins tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot, it would be the second largest Mega Millions jackpot won this year and seventh largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won. The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in April, when one ticket purchased in New York matched the five white balls and Mega ball to win a $20 million jackpot.
The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in Michigan in January 2021 by an Oakland County lottery club. The club won a $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot. That jackpot was the largest ever won in Michigan and the sixth largest in U.S. lottery history.
The Powerball jackpot currently stands at $875 million for Saturday’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $452 million. If a player wins the Powerball jackpot, it would be the second largest Powerball jackpot won this year, and third largest Powerball jackpot ever won. The Powerball jackpot was last won in April, when one ticket purchased in Ohio matched the five white balls and the Powerball to win a $252.6 million jackpot.
The last Michigan player to win a Powerball jackpot was Cristy Davis, of Waterford. Davis won the game’s $70 million jackpot on Feb. 12, 2020.
