Blissfield, MI – The Blissfield River Raisin Festival is hosting its 39th year of free, family fun, this upcoming weekend.

The festival is hosted on the banks of the River Raisin, and it is celebrated in Ellis and Bachmayer Parks in the shadow of the ‘three bridges’ made famous in Ripley’s Believe it or Not. A fourth bridge now crosses the river to the south of the triple bridges, which carry rail, vehicle and foot traffic.

Admission to the River Raisin Festival, the stage entertainment, and many children’s activities is free. Friday night features the 28th Annual Miss River Raisin Festival Scholarship Competition.

In addition, there are rides, concessions, exhibits, merchant vendors, crafts, and games. Fireworks will take place Friday night, with the parade through the Village of Blissfield happening Saturday at 10:30am.

The Blissfield River Raisin Festival is Thursday, July 12th through Saturday, July 15th.
