Baltimore, Maryland – The USS Carl M. Levin, named for the former US Senator and Detroit Native, is set for commissioning into the US Navy this weekend.
The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer will be commissioned June 24th at the Port of Baltimore, Maryland.
Built in Bath, Maine, USS Carl M. Levin was launched in May 2021, and delivered to the U.S. Navy in January, 2023. The ship will transit to her homeport at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii following commissioning.
