Lansing, MI – The Springbrook Middle School music program was on full display recently as the Orchestra and 8th-grade Band performed exceptionally at the Michigan State Capitol Spring Music Program.

The day started with the students walking on the House of Representatives floor and talking with State Representative Dale Zorn.

The day’s highlight came when the Springbrook Middle School 8th grade Band and Orchestra took the stage in front of the Capitol building. The Band and Orchestra captivated the audience with a performance of musical selections carefully chosen by the students.

Springbrook Band Teacher, Sheri Powers, said, quote: “As a representative of Adrian Public Schools, I couldn’t be prouder of our students. Their unwavering dedication to their craft, evident in their musical performance, is truly commendable. But, equally impressive is their exemplary behavior and the display of our school’s core values, as they exemplified the Maple Pride throughout the day.” Unquote.

APS Orchestra Teacher Lorri Wittenkeller added, quote “Our 7th and 8th-grade orchestra students performed exceptionally at the Capitol. Playing for an audience of students and families visiting the Capitol that day was a wonderful experience.”
