Tecumseh, MI – The Tecumseh Sons of the American Legion Squadron 34 donated $6,300 to Housing Help of Lenawee to start the Veterans Caregiver Fund.

The fund is set up to cover needed overnight stay for Veteran’s families that reside in Lenawee County who do not meet VA requirements to stay at Fisher House in Ann Arbor.

Fisher House is a place where families can stay when their loved ones are receiving medical care at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System.

Squadron 34 Past Commander Randy Sparks organized this project and coordinated funding though the Squadron’s annual Veteran’s charity golf event held on the 3rd Saturday of every August at the Raisin Valley Golf Club.

Sparks, also an Ambassador with Fisher House of Michigan, will continue to be involved with the Housing Help Caregiver Fund as an advisor.
