Clayton, MI – The community gathered at the Clayton Town Hall and Public Library building Wednesday evening to say goodbye to both Paul Burcoff and his wife Beverley as they have moved from Clayton to Brookdale in Adrian.

The Village of Clayton is officially 153 years old…and Paul had lived there for 90 of them. Paul is 93 years old, and a regular caller on WLEN’s Saturday morning talk show View Point…often referred to as the ‘Mayor of Clayton.’

Paul told WLEN News that even though he’s now living in Adrian, his heart will still be in Clayton…

Paul thanked the community for showing up to the goodbye party on Wednesday, saying that it says more about them than him. So, what is Paul going to miss about the place that he has called home for 90 years? …

We will hear from Clayton Village President, Shannon Johnston, in a future newscast.
