Monroe, MI – Police in Monroe arrested the suspect in a shooting that took place last week. Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough reported that the shooting occurred in the 100 block of Birchwood Trail in Monroe Township early last week.
Deputies received a report of a male subject who was shot at in front of his residence. During their response, deputies learned that the suspect fled the scene and later called 911. Detectives gathered information and evidence that helped determine this was an isolated incident that originated over a family disturbance.
Julia Huttenga, an 18-year-old from Monroe, was arrested, and has been arranged in Monroe County District Court on multiple charges…including Assault with Intent to Murder.
The incident remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.
