Adrian, MI – The Adrian Diversity Parade and Street Fair Fund currently has over $8,000 in it thanks to the community support, and business’ matching funds.
Bob Behnke of the M Society told WLEN News in an email that the Adrian community contributed $3,675 to the Fund with the Lenawee Community Foundation.
These funds will cover the increased city fees that will be charged to groups that sponsor Cinco de Mayo, Pride, and Juneteenth for their upcoming events.
Matching $3 to $1 funds from Meijer, Midwest Energy and Communications and private donors for the first $1,500, an additional $4,500 will be added to the fund. This brings the total to $8,175.
While donations can still be made to the fund, if you have not made a donation and would like to do so, consider a donation directly to The M Society, Lenawee NAACP, or Cinco de Mayo.
