Lenawee County, MI – The City of Hudson and Village of Blissfield sent-out information on the social media pages in response to the recent ice storm in Lenawee County…which has left thousands without power.

Village of Blissfield:

We have several roads closed due to downed trees and power lines, please use caution while traveling the streets at this time.

Downed Trees:

DPW staff are clearing streets first.

If there are power lines tangled in the trees, we will have to wait to clear those trees until Consumer’s Energy gives us the go ahead.

Trees on private property are the responsibility of the property owner. If a Village tree falls on private property we will take care of it. If a private  tree falls into the street, we will clear the street but the remainder of the tree will be the responsibility of the property owner. We will be  scheduling a brush pickup to assist property owners with clean up, this schedule will be announced once available.

Downed Line:

To report new downed lines please call 9-1-1, then Consumer’s Energy at 800-477-5050.

Warming Center:

The Blissfield Township Fire Department has opened the Fire Hall for those in need of shelter and warmth.

Friendly Reminders:

For updates on outages and estimated restoration times you can visit Consumer’s Energy website at https://www.consumersenergy.com/outages/check-outage

Please check on family, friends and neighbors.
