Adrian, MI – The suspect arrested last week in connection with a shots-fired incident at Maple Village Apartments in Adrian Friday was not actually the suspect.
Working off of a tip called in to the WLEN News Tip line… WLEN News reached out to Adrian Police Chief Vince Emrick and asked if the arrest made last week about three hours after the shooting was actually related.
He said no, it was not. Chief Emrick said that the arrest appeared to be in connection because of timing and relative proximity. The shooting took place on South Main Street, and an arrest was made near Treat and Beecher Streets in Adrian.
Chief Emrick told WLEN News that his department would update the press release issued shortly after the incident happened.
